As a Land Reclamation Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing seeding, erosion control, and land restoration projects. You'll work independently in the field, meeting with clients, solving land repair challenges, and ensuring projects are completed to the highest quality standards. You'll play a critical role in helping sites recover after construction, land development, or industrial use, turning damaged landscapes into thriving, sustainable environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform field inspections and assessments of disturbed land areas
  • Recommend and implement solutions for erosion control and site restoration
  • Coordinate and execute hydroseeding, planting, soil amendments, and stabilization work
  • Operate equipment (hydroseeders, tractors, skid steers) as needed for land restoration
  • Solve on-site issues efficiently and independently, consulting clients as needed
  • Track project progress and ensure quality and safety standards are met
  • Maintain accurate project records, including measurements, material usage, and timelines
  • Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and the team
  • Travel to various project locations throughout Northern Utah (company vehicle provided)

Qualifications

  • Strong practical knowledge of agriculture, landscaping, farming, or a related field
  • College degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Land Management, or a related field preferred, or extensive practical farming/landscape experience
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently in the field
  • Understanding of erosion control techniques and soil stabilization is a plus
  • Ability to perform manual labor and work outdoors in varied weather conditions
  • Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Willingness to travel regionally for project work
  • Prior experience with hydroseeding or large-scale seeding projects is a plus
  • Knowledge of native plant species and land restoration best practices is preferred

Compensation and Benefits

  • Full time position
  • Competitive hourly wage at $65,000 to $80,000, commensurate with experience.
