As a Landscape Superintendent, you will work directly under the Project Manager, serving as the vital link between leadership and field operations. You'll support the project teams by ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are available when needed, solving day-to-day logistical challenges, and maintaining project momentum to meet quality standards and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily field activities and provide on-site support for landscape installation crews.
- Procure and deliver plants, parts, and materials to job sites as needed.
- Monitor project progress, quality, and safety standards across multiple job sites.
- Support Project Managers by addressing urgent project needs and assisting with client and subcontractor coordination.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and timelines.
- Assist in troubleshooting minor project issues and escalating major concerns to Project Management.
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Help uphold the company's strong reputation for quality, professionalism, and client service.
Qualifications
- 3 or more years of experience in landscaping, construction, or site supervision preferred.
- A College degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field, or extensive hands-on experience in farming, landscaping, or land management.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to prioritize and pivot between tasks.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on environment and handling physical demands (lifting materials, driving between job sites, etc.).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
- Knowledge of landscape installation processes, irrigation systems, and basic site safety standards is preferred.
- Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and strong work ethic.
- Ability to communicate effectively with crews, clients, and leadership.
Compensation and Benefits
- Full time position
- Competitive hourly wage at $55,000 to $65,000, commensurate with experience.
