As a Golf Course Irrigation Project Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of irrigation system installation on a major golf course project. From coordinating crews and scheduling to ensuring system functionality and client satisfaction, you'll be a key leader in delivering a high-quality finished product. This role requires a blend of field expertise, project management skills, and client communication.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations for golf course irrigation installation projects.
  • Oversee and coordinate crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet project timelines and standards.
  • Read and interpret irrigation plans, specifications, and blueprints.
  • Perform site inspections to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues as they arise in the field.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Track project progress, materials, and labor, ensuring on-time and within-budget completion.
  • Prepare daily reports and documentation on project activities and milestones.
  • Promote and enforce a strong culture of safety on all job sites.

Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of experience in irrigation installation or golf course construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or project management role.
  • Strong knowledge of golf course irrigation systems, methods, and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and irrigation blueprints.
  • Exceptional organizational, scheduling, and leadership skills.
  • Hands-on, field-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to project challenges.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to foster positive client relationships.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to travel locally to job sites as needed.
  • Experience with project management software, time tracking, or landscape/irrigation software is a plus (e.g., LMN, ConstructConnect, CompanyCam).

Compensation and Benefits

  • Full time position
  • Competitive hourly wage at $65,000 to $80,000, commensurate with experience.
